Local Welcome makes it fun and easy for communities to cook and eat together.

In a divided world, we make it easy to connect.

Local Welcome meals are a fun way to meet new people in your community.

Cook with strangers, eat with friends.

Meet new people, hear their stories and share your own.

Become a local leader

Sound good? Host a Local Welcome event in your town and bring your community together through good food and great conversation.

How does it work?

Have questions?

Here are answers to some common ones but if you want to know even more, we'd love to hear from you.

You and your friends, plus three guests from your community.

A community space near you, like a hall or church.

Lunchtime on the first Sunday of every month for 1-2 hours.

What does it cost?

Currently, it's completely free to join one of our meals but donations are welcome.

What do I need to bring?

You don't need to bring anything. Just come hungry and ready to meet new people.

What about the food?

We take care of the food. It will be delivered to your table leader the day before the meal.

I want to take part but I'm feeling a little nervous...

That's okay, we understand. We've taken the pressure off you by designing each meal so that you're guided through a conversation. At a Local Welcome meal, there's no need to think of things to say and no awkward silences!

Got more questions?
