Potato Röstis - Recipe

 

Step 1

Each pair takes a third of the potatoes.

Instruction: Peel the potatoes and grate them into the blue container. Add to bowl.

Step 2

Each pair takes one onion.

Instruction: Peel the onion and grate it into the blue container. Add to bowl.

Question: What kind of music do you like?


Step 3

Instruction: Squeeze the mixture in your hands to remove as much moisture as possible. Catch the excess liquid in your small silver bowl. Place the dry mixture in the blue container. Pour the excess liquid from your small silver bowl into the large silver bowl in the centre of the table.

Step 4

Each pair takes 3 eggs.

Instruction: Return the dry mixture to the small silver bowl. Use your measuring cups to measure 3x 15ml level cupfuls of cornflour, add to bowl. Crack 3 eggs, add to bowl. Season with salt and pepper and mix.

Step 5

Each pair takes an avocado.

Instruction: Slice an avocado in half, take out the seed, and cut it into slices. Place them on plastic plates.

Question: What is something that you are good at now?


Step 6

Take your group to the table where the electric hobs are. Each pair should bring their mixture in the silver bowl. Turn on the hobs, place frying pans on the hobs.

Instruction: Add 2tbsp frying oil into each frying pan. Wait for the oil to be heated up.

Question: Who is your role model, and why?


Step 7

Do not to use metal cutlery, it scratches the griddle.

Instruction: Make small patties from the mixture and place them in the pan. Press down gently using the back of the turner. Fry them for 3-4 minutes on both sides, or until cooked through. As they contain egg, the röstis must be steaming hot before being served. Place your cooked rostis on the plastic plates.
